About the Artist

A sound that moves between worlds.

His work brings traditional instruments, instinctive improvisation and contemporary production into one immersive musical language.

Multi-instrumental approach

While the handpan remains central to his sound, Aji incorporates an array of traditional and global instruments, including South American and Indonesian flutes, the didgeridoo, and the sape — a traditional lute from Kalimantan.

The result is a musical vocabulary that moves freely across cultural references while keeping an organic, acoustic character at its core.

Immersive & meditative

Aji's compositions rely heavily on instinctive improvisation. Rather than being bound to a single genre, they are shaped to evoke deep atmospheres that cross borders and invite listeners into a shared space of breath, movement and presence.

His sound has accompanied experiences such as yoga, ecstatic dance, active meditation and deep relaxation.

The Sound

Acoustic roots, electronic textures.

Aji explores the space between hand-played instruments and modern electronic layers, allowing each performance to evolve in the moment.

01

Handpan at the centre

The handpan forms the core of Aji's sound — melodic, percussive and spacious, leaving room for atmosphere and improvisation.

02

Instinctive improvisation

Performances are shaped through listening and response, creating evolving soundscapes rather than fixed genre boundaries.

03

Electronic integration

He experiments with the Roland Moodpan MN-10, loop stations such as the Boss RC-505 and percussion pads to extend the acoustic palette.

04

Atmosphere & movement

The music can sit naturally within yoga, meditation, ecstatic dance, wellness gatherings, intimate concerts and deep listening environments.

Beyond the Stage

Music for festivals, retreats, movement and deep listening.

Aji is active in the global folk and wellness community, appearing at festivals and international gatherings while also teaching handpan in Ubud, Bali. His work connects performance with participation, curiosity and learning.
